Christmas Memories

So, we're finally getting around to taking pictures off the memory card and found several fun memories of the Christmas holidays... These include the much anticipated pictures of Clayton and Janelle - note the bling on her ring finger! Also, pictures of our favorite family activity - eating, and then seeing who gets in line first to eat... The big family picture was when we all talked on Christmas Day and opened our boxes. I've also thrown in a few from my most recent jaunt around the world - anybody recognize this stuff?

Shark bait

After our little bit of rain, Jeffrey thought he'd test out his new fishing pole in the grassy area behind the church. He was a little worried, though that if a shark took the bait he wouldn't be strong enough to reel it in.

They were here!

We didn't take many pictures, but here it is. Proof that Grandma and Grandpa Bassett were in Arizona. This is the love sculpture in front of the Scottsdale library. We took this on Saturday, one of our only sunny days. We went from palm trees and blue skies like this:

To rain and floods like this:

We had a great visit-and they whole family (including our missionaries) were happy to have some southern cooking!

Meet the Frosty's Family

The kids had a lot of fun making this "family" during our winter weather. It was great fun for Cole since this is the first snow he remembers. They named the family, Frosty, Mrs. Frosty, Frosty Jr. and...I forget the dog...Snowflake? Anyway, it was loads of fun. Hope the Mesa Bassett's are enjoying their visit from G'ma & G'pa! Raina

Bumper Stickers

Bumper sticker seen by Mitch on the way to Miami.. "Eve was framed" Now the one I saw today really got me thinking. "Who would Jesus bomb?" Now I understand the woman's thought processes. She hopes we would be more "Christian" in our actions as a world power. I'm sure she thinks the troops are in the wrong place for the wrong reason. This is America and we're entitled to our own opinion. But don't you think she should have picked another clever little way to push her anti-war rhetoric? Cause I'm thinking she is thinking that Jesus would not bomb any of his children. So imagine how difficult it was for me not to roll my window down and state..."Sodom and Gomorrah, The Red Sea debacle with the Egyptians, loosing your first born, Noah and the great flood, walls of Jericho....do you think she just forgot that the God destroys (very brutally at times) those who do not live correct principles? Did I miss any? I was on the phone with Mitch at the time and he wouldn't let me roll my window down but OH how I wanted to. Thank you for allowing me to vent. love to all

Angie is on her way to a full recovery...Kinda

I don't think that anyone would ever question my love for Angie, but I'm not thrilled with the impact that the radiation treatment is having on her.

To clarify

Baby face is the nick name Megan chose for her blog...I guess it is for all of us until I fix it. Raina

Alive and well in Flowery Branch

FYI We are still alive, just a little behind with the whole "blog" thing. Be patient while we get the swing of things. Hope you all are having a great New Year so far.
Great news Angie! I consulted with the magic 8 ball regarding the treatment - fyi: outlook is good. We'll be praying for you. Love you! Jennifer
